Pharmacy Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality pharmaceutical services. The role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications and ensuring excellent patient care.

**Duties**:

- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs
- Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities
- Provide medication administration support under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Support patient care by answering patient questions and requests, referring inquiries to the pharmacist
- Process insurance claims and assist with billing queries
