Transport Operator

A number of Transport Operators are required by a major UK & International transport and logistics organisation to support the smooth transportation of orders to customers by co-ordinating deliveries and collections from our warehouse. With an emphasis onefficiency, you will co-ordinate the availability of drivers, provide drivers with delivery briefs, track orders on our system and mitigate and resolve any issues. Acting as a key point of contact for customers, you will process order requests, manage queriesand, where necessary, provide customers with resolutions for failed deliveries.

ROLE: Transport Operators

LOCATION: Bedfordshire

HOURS: The shift pattern for this role is a rotating pattern of 06:00 - 14:30 and 14:00 - 22:30

BASIC SALARY: £26,692 + £400 shift allowance per annum

ROLE: - Manage customer returns
- Pre-brief and debrief drivers
- Continuously improve business processes
- Ensure full Health & Safety compliance

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous transport co-ordination experience
- Experience of communicating with customers on a client basis or via reporting site
- A track record of initiating business improvement through analysis
- Knowledge of Non-Conformance Report process
- An understanding of the requirements to store and distribute white goods
- Commercial awareness and cost management
- Good IT skills including MS Excel, Word and Outlook
