- Has experience of supporting SEND
- Has sound knowledge of the SEND code of practice
- Is a motivational teacher and can support staff in ensuring SEND children access quality first teaching and provision
- Is an advocate for our SEND pupils
- Can support staff to meet the needs of all learners and deliver effective interventions
- Can analyse and present data succinctly
- Has high expectations of achievement and behaviour and believes that every child can achieve and make progress
- Can communicate positively with children, parents, staff and external agencies, working effectively as part of a team around a child
- Prioritises our relationship with parents and can work in collaboration with them in the best interests of the children
- Has excellent organisational skills alongside a commitment to team work
- Has the ability to work under pressure and prioritise
- Has knowledge and experience of signposting and liaising with other agencies
- Supports and promotes the ethos of our school
