At Sapphire Recruitment Ltd, we are currently hiring for the position of Transport Operator - 4 Days on 4 Days off, for our client in Cullompton.

As a Transport Operator, your main responsibility will be to coordinate the day-to-day operations of a busy depot, specifically focusing on the Chilled and Ambient operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Take a leadership role in managing the daily transport issues, including overseeing dispatch debriefs and work in progress.
- Work closely with the customer to ensure the smooth running of the overall logistics.
- Manage and debrief drivers, providing necessary guidance and support.
- Handle customer relations and perform associated administrative duties.
- Assist in the generation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and daily statistics.

Essential Skills required:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, with a solid understanding of traffic management systems.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the local area to optimize route planning.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Solution-driven mindset and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: From £26,000.00 per year
