An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Team Leader to join our busy Admin Team within the Emergency Department. This post is to Team Lead / Supervise an admin team, support the office manager and senior management team with data requests.
Expected to use own initiative and able to work unsupervised, planning and managing a range of complex duties whilst organising own work to meet deadlines.
- Team Lead the ED admin staff in ensuring a smooth running of the service.
- Supporting the senior management team with any data requests or reports.
- Line managing a team ensuring appraisals and mandatory training are up to date.
- Undertaking sickness review meetings with staff.
- Working as part of the admin team in registering patients that attend the Emergency Department via own transport / Ambulance.
- Supporting in the admissions and discharges of patients electronically on the system
- Taking phone calls / patient enquiries and liaising with nursing and medical teams.
- Supporting admin staff in any complex cases.
- To support and participate with recruitment and selection and training new staff.
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective delivery of sensitive or complex information relating to both staff and service users.
- Ability to multitask and continue to function to a high standard when under pressure.
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
