Part-Time School Caretaker required for immediate start

Based on Temporary to Permanent contract after successfully completing a 3 month period

Hours: Expected to be between 15-25 hours per week working between 7am and 7pm

Days: Monday to Friday weekly excluding Bank Holidays

**Salary**: £21,198 - £21,968 DOE

As a School Caretaker some of your responsibilities will include:

- Opening and closing the school and carry out security checks.
- Respond to emergencies including severe weather disruption to school premises.
- Liaise with site managers and assist in supervising building and project works.
- Complete H&S checks and communicate H&S issues to Executive Headteacher.
- Ensure appropriate signage displayed at all times
- Assist with Fire and Building Evacuations and emergency procedures as required
- Undertake essential maintenance works and respond to requests submitted by staff
- Assist with updating records for site and complete Accident reporting
- Work closely with Premises Manager to ensure cleaning staff are scheduled and deployed

REQUIRED:

- Subject to ENHANCED DBS check due to working with vulnerable children and adults.
- Proven practical experience in a similar role
- Proven numerical and written skills
- Strong communication, listen and problem solving skills.
- Able to use MS Office programs - word, excel, outlook
- Ability to use own initiative
