Accounts Assistant

We are a small and growing accountancy practice based in Galmpton, near Brixham, seeking an Accounts Assistant. The role is a zero hours contract of flexible times, hours and days, likely to be 1-2 days each week.

We do not require specific qualifications or experience, but we prefer you to be starting a career in accountancy or settled by experience at the level of a competent bookkeeper, capable of data entry into cloud accounts such as (though not exclusively) Xero, Sage or Liberty. Previously we have engaged students studying for their AAT exams at nearby South Devon College.

Primarily your task will be to undertake data entry for our monthly accounts clients, self-checking your work to controls.

As we grow we need you to help with our peaks and if these keep being peaked, your role can grow accordingly - if you wish. Or you may just like the flexibility of being called upon for support, and able to say yea or nay each time.

Starting salary is £10.50 per hour.

We are located within walking distance from a no12 bus stop traversing the route Newton Abbot to Brixham. You must currently live within a reasonable commuting distance for a c9am start.
