Due to rapid growth over the past few years, we currently have an exciting vacancy for a newly created role as a Warehouse Operative based at our office in St Ives (Cambridgeshire)

**Main Purpose**

The responsibility of warehouse inventory management, including picking and packing, shipping and receiving of goods, as well as light workshops duties, including cutting of materials in order to be shipped to customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

Maintain and plan an orderly warehouse for ease of deliveries and dispatch. Liaising with team members to maintain correct re-order levels whilst ensuring disposal of obsolete stock and performing regular stock checks.

Working with team members to maintain accurate stock throughput and avoid over stocking / warehouse bottlenecks. Maintaining accurate stock records including the recording of all goods in and goods out.

The role will involve the safe loading/unloading of deliveries as and when required throughout the day, picking & packing orders to customer and/or engineer’s specifications and requirements.

Arrangement and management of customer returns, including data entry onto Salesforce and analysis of trend, and disposal of any faulty stock, whilst ensuring the stock management system and database is kept up to date.

You should be familiar with the safe use, maintenance and checking of lifting gear, and varius workshop cutting tools -(i.e. chop saw, grinder etc) to cut and prepare goods for packing and shipping to customers / engineers. all whilst ensuring we maintain a safe and healthy working environment within our warehouse.

**Profile**:
To be successful as a Warehouse Operative at Bender UK you should be experienced in striving for continuous improvement. You should be dependable and have excellent organisational and time management skills.

You must have experience in coordinating logistics processes, ensuring the quality and quantity of both the delivery, and receipt, of goods in a timely manner and by preparing and processing any relevant documentation.

You must be computer literate, and the ability to use SAGE would be a distinct advantage.

The role involves regular communication with both internal colleagues and external customers - the ability to work collaboratively and problem solve is a must

The person we are looking for will have a solid background within a warehouse environment.
