Job Summary:
- **Summary of Post**:_
Working within a busy department, the role of a Technical Tutor is to ensure there is effective learning delivered online and ensure that learners achieve their maximum potential throughout the programme. Our courses are delivered in three hour sessions and evening delivery will be part of shift pattern e.g 6.00pm -9.00pm Monday to Thursday.
- **Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:_
- Develop and deliver an integrated programme to ensure that levels of teaching and learning are always high. This needs to include use of a range of delivery methods to consider individual learning styles of all learners.
- To be able to deliver regulated qualifications within the Cyber Security sector a full understanding of awarding body requirements to ensure successful completion
- Preparing learners for qualifications and external examination.
- Use a range of techniques and resources tailored to the individual’s needs to support the learner throughout their learner journey towards achievement.
- Ensure that all students receive the appropriate level of support they need and identify any additional learning needs where applicable
- To review, monitor and report on your learners’ progress, retain information regarding starts, leavers, and outcomes to enable accurate reporting of statistical and financial information to be carried out.
- To co-ordinate and manage your calendar to ensure that your classes are planned and conducted in an efficient and effective manner
- To carry out Exit Reviews and ensure Leavers’ Evaluations are completed and reviewed.
- Deal with learner queries efficiently and professionally
- Undergoing regular observations of teaching and learning as part of continuing professional development (CPD)
- To be available to assist in any Quality Improvement projects as they occur. The post holder will, in addition, carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by their line manager or senior manager. As business requirements change, the job description will evolve
- Take an active part in Ofsted inspections including participation in all meetings, training and standardisations as deemed necessary by the company as well as completing and logging own CPD carried out in line with maintaining occupational competence in your area of expertise.
- Manage a caseload effectively, including detailed completion of paperwork to comply with all SFA funding rules and Ofsted Regulations.
