**Salary**:£10.42 perhour
**Hours**:15 hoursper week Monday Friday (Due to the nature of the post some evenings andweekend work may be necessary)

**Job role**:
- Undertake cleaning and domesticduties of all public areas, offices, domestic flats when void and communalareas that include:
- Emptying waste bins or similarreceptacles, transporting waste material to refuse collection point.
- Sweeping floors with brushes ordust control mops
- Mopping floors with wet or dampmops
- Vacuum clean carpeted areas andspot cleaning carpets
- Dust, damp wipe, wash or polishthe furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of: - cupboards,radiators, shelves and fitments.
- Replenish consumable items (soap,toilet rolls, paper towels)
- Clean toilets, hand basins andsinks
- Undertake wall washing or insidewindow pane cleaning as necessary
- Washing any laundry required.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment is maintained andadequate materials are available at the beginning of each shift.
- Cleaning Void Flats ready for new occupant includingremoving any rubbish, cleaning the bathroom and toilet, cleaning the fridge,hoovering the floor and make up beds.
- Report all breakages, defects and areas of concern tothe Manager
- Complete record sheets in line with procedures.
- Carry out all reasonable duties as required by theManager.
- Undertake minor maintenance tasks if required (e.g.painting, change light bulbs etc which will include use of step ladders).
- Support and encourage residents and staff to keep roomsand areas clean and tidy.
- Be prepared to work at other locations as necessary.
- Complete Health and Safety checks of the communal areasand accommodation.

**Experience / Qualifications**:
**Essential**
**Desirable**
NVQ level 2 in Cleaning Services or equivalent
Current first aid qualification
Experience of working in a culturally diverse area and a commitment to equal opportunities in the workplace which creates a welcoming environment for people of all faiths and of none.
**Skills / Knowledge**:
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations as they relate to the operation of cleaning equipment and the dilution of cleaning materials.
**Ability to understand COSHH Regulations**
Basic standard of literacy to read and understand instructions
Ability to carry out cleaning and domestic work to a high standard, including use of machinery (e.g. buffer machine, wet vac)
