We work closely with a fun and friendly company based in Cambridge. Due to expansion, they have just relocated to brand new lab/cleanroom facilities. The people are great, there's plenty of flexibility and a wonderful future for the business.

This is a great time to be joining them as they grow. It's a hands-on role for a **Test Development Technician**, supporting and working closely with a team of engineers. Handling and testing optoelectronic materials and devices, this is a vital role, which ensures that all products meet high standards before they head outof the door to customers all over the world.

**Your Role**:

- Electrical and optical characterisation and tests of materials & products
- Following SOPs carry out continuous improvement to these processes
- Contribute to the expansion of the characterisation capability
- Maintaining records and reporting of experimental results

**You must have**:

- Experience working in a commercial lab/cleanroom or manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge of semiconductors, electronics or circuits
- Superb excellent attention-to-detail, even when carrying out quite repetitive work/tests
- Competent IT Skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good verbal and written English communication skills

**What else would give you the edge?**:

- Experience with electrical and optical analytical methods (optical microscopy, probe stations, source-measurement-units, integrating spheres etc.)
- Experience measuring electro-optic devices (e.g. LEDs, lasers)
- Data analysis & programming skills e.g. Python, C, Matlab
