Cardiff, United Kingdom Omega Recruitment Group Full time

We are seeking both day and night shift workers to cover shifts across our children's homes in Cardiff. These shifts will range from 8 to 12 hours and will be arranged on a weekly basis to accommodate the specific needs of each home.

Are you interested in working in a meaningful role where you can support children in meeting their individual needs and overcoming challenges, enabling them to live fulfilling and happy lives? This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team working across our Residential Homes.

In addition to the positive impact you will make on the lives of our children, you will receive generous enhancements for working evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays, and sleeping in duties. You will receive a 30% salary enhancement for working weekdays after 8pm, 50% for weekends, and £40.80 per sleep in (Waking Nights will not receive the sleep in rate).

Our priority is to ensure that the right staff are matched with the right child or young person. While you will have a stable base, you may occasionally be required to work in one of our other homes, where your skills and approach may be better suited. Our homes are located close together and would not involve unreasonable travel considerations.

Individuals who possess exceptional patience, empathy, and a caring nature are ideally suited for a career dedicated to supporting others. If you believe you possess these qualities, we encourage you to join our team. Our goal is to recruit individuals who can provide high-quality, individualized support to children and young people throughout their time in our care. As part of a team, you will play a crucial role in helping them achieve positive outcomes, build healthy relationships, and have fun while supporting their development at every stage. We value individuals who are committed to learning, sharing experiences, skills, and knowledge, and who always put the needs of children and young people first.

As a Residential Childcare Officer, you will be instrumental in delivering direct care and support to young individuals in our short break home, enabling them to achieve favourable outcomes in accordance with their personalised childcare plan. Every day presents new challenges, and we are seeking team members with a proactive attitude who are eager to go the extra mile for young people in their care. Our team must help identify and promote the individuality, uniqueness, and diverse needs of young people, while fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.
