**Health and Safety Officer**

As a Health and Safety Officer you play a vital role in controlling risks at work and ensuring that the organisation meets current safety standards. You will use your expert knowledge and experience to help plan and implement new procedures to raise or maintain safety standards, implementing new protective and preventative measures as required by law or the organisation. You will be responsible for the monitoring and review of those policies and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Your skills will include attention to detail, patience, diplomacy, an investigative mind, and the ability to understand industrial processes.

You will have experience as a Health and Safety Officer or similar role, hold relevant qualifications, and be conversant with current regulations and legislation.

Your role will include:

- Carrying out risk assessments
- Implementing recommendations and findings from risk assessments
- Preparing effective Health and Safety strategies and policies
- Liaising with managers, directors and workers to ensure compliance with mandatory regulations and in the carrying out of your duties
- Liaising regulatory authorities as needed
- Investigating incidents as needed, analysing data and producing reports and recommendations
- Carrying out workplace inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented

In carrying out your duties you will report to company Directors.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
