Trainee Legal Cashier

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Lightfoots Solicitors LLP are looking for a Trainee Legal Cashier with previous similar experience to join their busy and friendly finance team in Thame, Oxfordshire. The role will be working within the team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the department.

**About the team**

The Finance Team consists of Legal Cashiers and Legal Finance Assistants who work with and report to the Head Cashier & Finance Team Manager. The team work together to support each other in a fast paced, busy environment providing the firm with a stable accounting function.

**KEY **RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Contacting bank with queries and cheque cancellations
- Entry level office administration
- Issuing cheques
- Processing banking transactions
- Processing of bills
- Bank Reconciliations
- Running of Day End processes
- This role will build on the above to incorporate further duties as experience and learning increases

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- At least 5 GCSEs with Grade C (or 4) and above and minimum of B (or 6) in Maths
- Admin experience is essential
- Legal accounting experience is preferred
- Currently studying ILFM qualification or open to studying
- Accuracy & attention to detail is essential
- Methodical approach to work
- Excellent communication face to face and telephone
- Knowledge of Word and Excel is a plus
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines or will learn this during your development in the role
