Established in 2003 we are a family-run female-led business that started out by selling furniture in Tredegar, South Wales.
In 2005 we moved to Blackwood, Caerphilly where we opened a two-story retail store in the former Bier Keller, expanding our range of products from Furniture to homeware.
2007 was the start of an extremely tough year for us and many other businesses across the UK as the credit crunch hit, forcing us to change how the business operated. No one was buying furniture anymore so we moved into selling gifts, Jewellery, Cards, Women's Fashion Accessories, Soft Toys & homeware.
2012 saw some more changes with the introduction of Number 5 The Tea Room. Which offers afternoon tea, cakes, coffee, and snacks.
2012 was also the first year we went online withKismetblackwood.co.uk where we now stock nearly 3000 products from major brands including Jellycat, Nomination Italy, UNOde 50, Katie Loxton, Joma London, Powder Designs, Qudo and many more.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet and assist customers with their purchases and queries
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Stock shelves and displays
- Process transactions using a cash register
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers
- Assist with visual merchandising and in-store promotions
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Retail experience is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy coffee shop environment
- Self-motivated and reliable individual
