Machine Operator

Reedbut Group designs and manufactures corrugated packaging. The business has three sites; Milton Keynes the head office, Andover in Hampshire, Strood in Kent, and is one of the leading independent sheet plants in the UK. The company has an annual turnover of £20 million which is growing rapidly, currently employs circa 100 people and is well invested with further capital projects underway.

The business operates in the rapidly growing corrugated packaging market and the materials the company work with have strong green credentials which play a leading role in the war against single use plastic.

**Position - Machine Operator Swing Shift 06.00 - 14.00/14.00-22.00**

Reedbut Group has vacancies for Machine Operators at our Andover Site.

You will work within a team at our manufacturing site in Andover in a growing business, developing a range of skills initially as a Trainee Machine Operator. As process skills are mastered, the hourly pay increases.

**Necessary Skills**
- Prior experience operating machinery in a shift working manufacturing environment.
- Good IT skills.

**Preferred skills**
- Experience of batch manufacturing process management.
- Experience of die cutting, flexographic printing, gluing and stitching processes.
- Knowledge and experience of BRCGS Food certified working environment.

**Hours and location of Work**
- 37.5 hours per week - 06.00 - 14.00 week 1 & 14.00 - 22.00 week 2
- Based at Andover SP10

**Holidays**

The basic annual leave entitlement is 20 working days plus 8 statutory bank holiday (rising to 25 days plus 8 statutory days over time)

Starting rate hourly rate of £13.00 for a Trainee Operator.

As skills are acquired and performance improves, pay increases in steps adding up to £2.40 extra per hour to pay. Skills and training are reviewed frequently. Annual profit share bonus and this could be worth a further £1500.

Membership of the Group Life Insurance Scheme and the Personal Pension Plan on completion of the probationary period.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
