Golf Club Caterer

Hebden Bridge Golf Club are looking for a friendly, experienced caterer to prepare and serve breakfasts/light meals for members at weekends, mid-week suppers for team matches and buffets for “Major” golf days. Flexible hours.

We are looking for an experienced caterer, working part-time (hours to be negotiated, pay from £11.50/hr depending on experience) to provide:

- Food preparation and café-type service for golfers on competition days. Breakfasts/light meals for up to 60 golfers, arriving 4 at a time at 10 minute intervals (Saturdays throughout the year & also Sundays during winter)
- Suppers for 8-12 golfers through the summer months for participants in team matches, mid-week
- Buffet-style catering for 6 “major” golf days per annum, for up to 80 members & their guests, Saturday/Sunday

Have you got bigger ambitions than this? In addition to meeting the basic catering needs of members listed above, we are looking for the right person to develop their own freelance/self-employed business - in partnership with the Golf Club - to offer a broader hospitality service and to attract more external functions (mid-week and Sundays throughout the year). Here are the resources at your disposal:

- A base clientele of members of our friendly, thriving 9-hole golf club
- A regular flow of visiting golfers, including groups looking for a “Golfing Day” experience
- The opportunity for “walk ins” from the adjacent Calderdale Way, and the very popular tourist centre of Hebden Bridge
- The huge potential afforded by a venue close to Hebden Bridge, within the wider Calder Valley, where there is very limited provision for mid-sized functions
- A licensed bar and bar staff
- A fully equipped catering kitchen (recently fully refurbished) with a small dining room next to it
- ‘Very Good’ Food Hygiene Rating - 5/5
- A stunning function room with panoramic views, which will seat up to 80 for formal meals, or 100+ for buffet-style occasions.
- Car park for 40+ cars

**Salary**: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 30 per week
