**Hourly Rate **:£10.61 per hour - Pay Rise Pending

**Job Role**
The role of Activities Coordinator is a multi-faceted role and is crucial in providing recreation, engagement, participation, and a sense of purpose to our Service Users through enjoyable and varied activities.
We believe that encouraging services users to be as active as possible is a key part of maintaining good physical and mental well-being.
**Responsibilities**
Help Service User’s to socialise within the Care Home and provide a variety of activities that cater for all tastes.
Plan and initiate monthly rolling / individual programmes and encourage Service User’s to maintain existing hobbies.
Encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Care Centre's activities
Accompany Service User’s, where possible, to offsite activities, which may occasionally take place out with normal working hours.
Help to create an atmosphere that suits individual needs within the Care Home.
Assist with fund raising, and budgeting, for entertainments, materials and outings.
Keep full and accurate records of daily activities using appropriate documentation and assist the Named Care Assistant to review and update Care Files.
Discuss the aims and objectives of recreation therapy with other Staff Members.
Provide comfort and company, on a one-to-one basis, for Service User’s who are unable to undertake any form of activity.
**Required**
Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events and activities that addresses the mental, physical, social, health and security needs of our service users
Good communication and organisational skills
Team Player
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to research new ideas and good practice relating to activities to older people
Friendly, creative and confident
Genuine interest in working with the older person
Satisfactory Disclosure Scotland check and current PVG scheme ID number
**Desired**
Previous experience of working with the older person
Qualification in remedial / occupational therapies
Flexible approach towards working routines
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 26 per week
**Salary**: From £10.61 per hour
