We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with autism in Year 1. This full-time role starts in September 2024, offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.55.

**About the Role**:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of a child with autism, ensuring they receive the personalised attention and care they need to thrive. Your ability to build a trusting relationship and adapt learning activities to meet the child's unique needs will be key to fostering their academic and social growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with autism in Year 1
- Assist with the child's learning activities and help them access the curriculum
- Implement strategies and interventions tailored to the child's needs
- Monitor and record the child's progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
- Create a supportive and structured learning environment
- Assist with social integration and communication skills
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to support the child's development

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs
- Strong understanding of strategies and interventions for supporting children with autism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, caring, and passionate about inclusive education
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
