**The Opportunity**

We have an exciting vacancy for a Land Surveyor to join our expanding Geological Services function. It is a fantastic time to join the team following heavy investment in new advanced surveying technology.

As the Land Surveyor you will cover our midlands sites carrying out topographic surveys, volumetric stock surveys and surveys for other purposes such as construction, blasting, inspection, compliance and asset management.

Keys aspects of the role include:

- Undertake both GPS and drone surveys of quarries and operational plant across all company divisions.
- Use LiDAR scanners to collect LiDAR data for use in geotechnical analysis and structural integrity.
- Process raw data for use in AutoCAD, LSS and Vulcan.
- Undertake independent free stock surveys and report results to finance.

**Who you are**
- Quarrying experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of safe practice in survey activities.
- Able to solve complex surveying problems, research records, compile, analyse, and interpret survey data.
- Competent with TPS/GPS/Drones/LiDAR and hydrographic survey techniques.
- Competent in use of AutoCAD, LSS, Pix4D or similar.
- Understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and The Quarries Regulations 1999 where related to surveying activities.
