Job Title: Technical Lead

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead our technical team in the development and delivery of ATEX-certified products for the gas and water industries. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong technical background and ability to be "hands on" where needed, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively liaise with senior management and stakeholders.

**Who we are**:
RENDA Systems is a highly innovative young business which is growing quickly that delivers IoT enabled data logging systems for the gas distribution industry. RENDA is currently working with one of the largest utilities in the UK on a pilot project for its core, low cost, gas pressure sensing IoT product. The company is based in a brand-new facility in the centre of Leeds.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Leadership**: Lead and manage technical projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- **Team Management**: Oversee a multidisciplinary technical team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth
- **ATEX Compliance**: Ensure all products meet ATEX certification standards and other relevant regulatory requirements
- **Stakeholder Communication**: Act as the primary point of contact between the technical team and senior management, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities
- **Resource Management**: Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands, including personnel, equipment, and budgetary constraints
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes
- **Documentation**: Manage and maintain a project plan supported by comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, progress reports, and regulatory submissions
- **Continuous Improvement**: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, seeking ways to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve product performance

**Who we are looking for**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electronics or a related field
- **Experience**: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within the gas industry, with a focus on ATEX-certified products
- **Technical Skills**: Strong understanding of ATEX standards and regulations, as well as the technical aspects of product development in the gas industry
- **Leadership Skills**: Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, senior management, and external stakeholders
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, etc.)
