Construction Buyer

Our client, a medium-sized construction company, is recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join their team at their head office near Chepstow.

They are going through an expansion phase, so this presents an ideal time to join the company and experience rapid progression in your career - ideally they are looking to promote to Senior Buyer within 12-24 months.

Main duties:

- Identifying suppliers and sub-contractors, obtaining quotations and agreeing delivery timescales.
- Dealing effectively with with the site management team and suppliers & sub-contractors to manage the flow of labour & materials appropriately, whilst calmly navigating the challenges involved with these.
- Liaising closely with the estimator at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided
- Issue detailed quotations for inclusion into tender documentation
