Lab Support Assistant

- **Salary**: £23,205 - £24,000 Per annum

**We have a FTC opening to support our Pharmaceutical client within the Barnard Castle area, offering Laboratory** **support working within an integrated** **environment and with a well established team, fantastic opportunity for an individual seeking entry level experience in a laboratory environment**

The Lab Support Assistant's role is to provide services which underpins the laboratory functions and will provide support in the below main duty requirements:

- **Stock Management and Eluent Preparation**:

- **Waste Management. Daily collection and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste**:

- **Batch Kit and Glassware Preparation**:

- **Instrumentation performance qualifications on balances and pH meters**:

- **Administration: preparing boxes of keeping samples, booking in and preparing samples for shipping**

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure that tasks are completed according to the schedule and therefore have no negative impact on the labs
- Ensure scheduled instrumentation performance qualifications are completed in line with the plan
- Flexibility to cover any activities that supports the business needs
- Ensure My Learning & Mitie Learning hub is at 100% with no overdues.
- Ensure all documentation generated is in line with ALCOA+ (attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original & accurate) principles.

- Works well as a team
- Position requires individual to be mobile (moving to/from various laboratories) and some physical lifting will be necessary
- Attention to detail & capability to work methodically to strict processes and procedures
- Rigorous management of results
- Compliant with health and safety requirements
