**About The Role**:
If you’re enthusiastic and passionate about raising much needed funds to support people affected by dementia, then joining your local Volunteer Fundraising Group could be just the role for you
Our local Volunteer Fundraising Groups are made up of like-minded, friendly volunteers who meet regularly to plan and deliver exciting fundraising events and activities. As a group member, you’ll be meeting regularly with other members to organise, promote and deliver your fundraising events, as well as researching and attending any fundraising opportunities or events in the local area. You’ll also support your group lead to recruit new group members and make sure any money raised is banked and recorded correctly.
By raising vital funds through your local activities, your Volunteer Fundraising Group will help ensure we are able to continue to make a difference to the lives of people affected by dementia.
We need pro-active individuals to join our local Volunteer Fundraising Group. You will play a vital role uniting your local community and organising events to raise much needed funds and awareness of dementia and the work we do.
Money raised from your Volunteer Fundraising Group will help make sure we can be there for everyone affected by dementia. Together we will make sure everyone who needs support gets it, while we work towards a cure.
- Tasks vary but could include:
- Contributing to the planning of and chairing meetings
- Organising and promoting fundraising events.
- Making sure income is correctly banked.
- Recruiting new group members.
- Raising awareness of dementia and the work we do.
**You’ll be great for the role if**:
- You are enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about making a difference for people affected by dementia
- You enjoy fundraising and planning events
- You have good organisational skills
- You enjoy being part of a team
- You are over the age of 16
