Our Physiotherapy department at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant. Continue your journey with us whilst we’ll support you to be your best.

Wessex Hospital is a 50 bed hospital specialising in Elective Orthopaedic surgery. We have a well established busy Physiotherapy department, rehabilitation gym and hydrotherapy pool.

**The Opportunity**

To work alongside the team of Senior Physiotherapist to ensure patients receive excellent post-op and physiotherapy care and rehabilitation.

**As our Physiotherapy Assistant, you will**:

- Work with the Inpatient Physiotherapy team on the ward to support with rehabilitation post surgery and safe discharge home.
- Perform administrative tasks, including booking patient appointments and referrals to support the smooth running of the department.
- Maintain sufficient equipment stock levels including the cleaning of returned equipment.
- Support the Senior Physiotherapists with delivering both gym based and hydrotherapy classes in the Outpatient department.
- Maintain accurate records and an efficient service.

**To succeed as a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will need**:

- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Good command of the English language.
- Previous experience of working in a customer/client facing role.
- Computer literacy skills as we use an electronic patient record system.
- NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, a Care Certificate, or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
- At least 12 months working experience in the UK.

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women’s Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy so we can give our patients a complete package of care. There are 16 consulting rooms with speciality outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24 hr resident doctor on site (RMO) and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
