**Environment Team Leader - South East, SOCOTEC, £26,000 to £34,000, Romford**

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Environment and Safety Division. SOCOTEC provides a comprehensive range of environmental monitoring and consultancy services to help companies fulfil their legal obligations and to comply with environmental regulations. Our expert field teams provide national coverage and tailored services including site investigation, sampling and analysis, monitoring, interpretation and consultancy. Our qualified and highly talented field consultants provide environmental analysis, environmental monitoring and consultancy services to assist clients in complying with legislation.

We’re looking for a Team Leader to join an enthusiastic team, based in Romford, delivering Environmental and Water Hygiene Services to a wide range of clients across the southeast. Tasks will include, but not limited to:

- Line manager to a team of technicians and consultants
- Management of technical operations in the field including efficient utilisation of resources, staff and maintenance of equipment.
- Provision of specific team services including the allocation of authorised and suitably trained staff for allocated projects, and to oversee the progress of the project in terms of KPI’s quality and customer satisfaction
- Project manage key clients
- Be responsible for calibration and maintenance of monitoring equipment
- Provide 'remote' and on-site supervision of staff conducting testing and inspection services
- Order and maintain consumables for the section
- Provide training and maintain training records and undertake site audits to ensure compliance with operation methods and procedures
- Preperation and authorisation of quotes to customers
- Support senior staff as required

- Have five or more years technical experience in a monitoring or consultant role or have experience in a similar team leader role
- Have the ability to deal with difficult tasks and assignments
- Have the ability to deal with considerable concentration with high levels of pressure
- Have excellent organisation and time management skills to be able to work to deadlines
- Have the desire and drive to create and motivate a high performing team
