We have an exciting new opportunity at PCE for a Diamond Driller to join the Construction Team. The role will involve travelling to our sites nationwide and working away as needed. You will be responsible for using specialist equipment to cut through the toughest materials on a building site, such as reinforced concrete.

You must have an understanding of the construction process and have worked within the role for a minimum of two years, full training and support will be provided to help develop you to become a valuable member of the Construction team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Responsibilities including but not limited to**:
**Generic Obligations**:

- Responsible for completing diamond drilling and concrete cutting/sawing tasks.
- Maintaining an adequate level of housekeeping
- Planning and carrying out work safely
- Regularly maintaining and servicing drilling equipment and completing weekly required checks
- Keep records of completed tasks and issue to site management each day

**Role Specifics**:

- Be accountable for the workmanship and safety of each employee within your team
- Take control of planned tasks, supervised works, and labour resource
- Adhere to product mixing ratios, suitability selection, and preparation methodology
- Be fully adept at interpreting construction related drawings
- Show willingness to train and mentor inexperienced employees to an adequate level
- Accurately record site specific QA records
- Attend daily debrief meetings as/when needed

**Health and Safety Prerequisites**:

- Fully adhere to risk assessment, method statement, and site induction rulings
- Ensure youre in full possession of PCE uniform and 5 points of PPE
- Attend daily briefings, understand delegated tasks prior to site engagement
- Possess and maintain RPE, use for risk related tasks where airborne contaminants are present
- Be aware of, and do not exceed daily HAV expose limits, routinely record accrued points

**DIAMOND DRILLER REQUIRED SKILLS**

**Essential requirements for the role**:

- Good communication skills
- Previous experience gained in diamond drilling role
- Valid CSCS card
- Completion of CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test
- NVQ Level 2 in Specialist Concrete Occupations Concrete Drilling **Desirable requirements for the role**:

- IPAF (3a and 3b)
- PASMA tower for users
- First Aid at Work
- Valid and clean driving licence
- Experience in concrete finishing
