Ortus Recruitment are seeking an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, to join a thriving primary school in Kenton, London Borough of Harrow.

Our partner school is a mainstream Primary school, with a recent “Good” Ofsted report, a fantastic reputation in the local area and great resources. Located in Harrow Borough, the school is situated amongst many thriving retail shops and restaurants with a shopping centre close by.

**This 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant position is**:

- A Long Term, Full-Time position
- Based in London Borough of Harrow
- Based in a Successful primary school
- ASAP Start
- Pays £85.00 - £95.00 per day (PAYE) based on experience
- Temp to Perm agreement with the school

**This vacancy is designed for a proactive and reliable graduate who has a level 3 qualification or has gained a 2:1 in their degree and has previously worked with SEN children.**

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant the successful applicant will support the progress of a reception class pupil who has Autism. The child is physically challenging and is known to run away from his desk at times. He can kick out at times so a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant who is comfortable with challenging behaviour is key.

**We are seeking 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants who**:

- Have 3-6 months SEN experience with Autistic pupils
- Is comfortable with challenging behaviour
- Can establish clear boundaries with a firm but fair approach
- Hold a level 3 teaching qualification or be degree educated
- Team Team (desirable)

This school has a supportive and experienced SENCO, who has built an expert and effective SEN team within the school. As such this is a great opportunity to work alongside people who can really help you develop your professional skill set.

**Salary**: £85.00-£95.00 per day
