**The Job Purpose**:
FMUK toolmakers primary role is to carry out the upkeep of all FMUK’s press tooling, conduct planned maintenance activities on all FMUK’s press tools, conduct repair work to the press tools, implement any engineering changes we receive from the customer and operate all the tool room machinery.

FMUK is a fast paced, just in time company where the fast turnaround of FMUK production tooling repairs are critical. The individual should be driven, flexible and willing to learn press and press tool theories.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Use of all types of machinery: Milling machines, lathes, surface and cylindrical grinders and CNC machines
- Use of hand and air tools
- Produce and work from engineering drawings
- Use of overhead cranes
- Welding in all forms
- Work as part of a team/in a positive manner
- Good communication and people skills
- Work on own initiative
- Work to a tight production schedule
- Upkeep of the tooling history information
- Completing associated paperwork via the Share point system
- Continuous improvement
- Adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental Procedures and Regulations
- Ensure high level of workmanship
- To assist in achieving production targets
- To maintain the work area to the highest possible standards of cleanliness and order maintaining 5S and TPM standards
- Safely operate crane and any other lifting equipment (where required)
- Daily observational checks on Cranes and lifting equipment (where required)
- Ensure tools are repaired in line with production requirements
- Suggest Kaizen improvements relevant to role
- Good communication skills to liaise with, Press, press preppers, Planning and Press section leader to minimise Press downtime
- Must have good organisational skills
- React quickly to operational/Production changes to minimise Press downtime

**Job Type**:Full-time, Permanent

**Hours of work**:Fortnightly rotation

Week 1 & 2

7:00am - 15:30pm, Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 12pm Friday

3.25pm - 11.55pm, Monday to Thursday, 11.40am - 4.40pm, Friday

**Shift allowance: 7.5**% Shift allowance on back shift
