Payroll Specialist

Rutherford Briant are in the process of recruiting for a Payroll Specialist for a fast-growing business based in Romford who specialise in providing a wide range of security services to all types of industry and many blue-chip organisations in the privateand public sectors across the United Kingdom.
Our client is ideally looking to recruit an individual who has solid experience working within payroll, as well as experience of using Sage 50 Payroll within a professional capacity. This person should have strong organisational and communication skills,and must be capable of operating within a fast-paced working environment.
They are offering a competitive salary of £33,000, as well as hybrid working, flexible working hours, 28 days holiday and much more
What you will do:
- Correctly processing all aspects of payroll and some of accounts payable.
- Responsible for the monthly payroll for 500 employees.
- Checking timesheets to see how many hours employees worked.
- Calculating correct employee pay by considering hours worked, overtime rates, taxes, national insurance payments and other factors.
- Processing electronic employee payments.
- Processing holiday, sick, maternity and paternity leave payments.
- Answering employee questions about their timesheets and payslips.
- Processing and distributing forms such as P45, P60 and P11d.
- Processing PAYE deductions and sending payroll information to HM Revenue and Customs, also processing HMRC Payments.
- Processing Pension deductions and sending pension information to Pension Providers, also processing pension payments.
- Processing expenses.
- Posting payroll journals and reconciling payroll ledgers.
What you will need:
- Previous experience working in Payroll.
- Sage 50 Payroll experience (essential).
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
