L&d Advisor

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with one of our manufacturing clients in Chesterfield to identify an L&D Advisor for their UK operations. Based at their Chesterfield office, with 1 day working from home if preferred, this is a new start up role for the business. Reporting into the HRBP and Head of HR, the role will work closely with the business stakeholders to facilitate and develop the training function.

As the L&D Advisor, you will champion and provide comprehensive, effective and efficient support enhancing skills, knowledge and performance. You will welcome new employees and managers to the business, lead the induction and onboarding program and ultimately drive high levels of engagement and opportunity.

Responsibilities will include:

- Identifying and managing all training needs across the business
- Ensure employees receive the appropriate training and are competent to carry out their duties
- Facilitate and diarise training
- Plan, organise and deliver training and induction / onboarding
- Schedule and deliver training by internal and external Product Experts
- Produce and maintain skills assessments, identify gaps and implement development solutions to bridge skills gaps
- Use and develop e-learning to maximise training opportunities
- Support the performance review process and management development programme
- Develop, manage and maintain HR systems including personnel records, training management
- Support the set-up delivery and agreed outcomes of an Annual Appraisal System
- Develop internal training courses.
- Own and develop Training and employee development plans and HR metric

Key skills required:

- Previous experience working in a Training Advisor / L&D level role, preferably within manufacturing or similar commercial sector
- Influence and lead learners through the training programme
- Face to face training experience
- Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels to include senior stakeholders
- Excellent organisation / time management skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- First class verbal and written communications skills
