Bank Medical Records Clerk

To provide a comprehensive, effective and patient focused administrative and clerical service for Outpatient Clinics and emergency and elective admissions. To provide a full library service, filing and retrieving case notes, carrying out retention and destruction and record scanning as appropriate. To provide a receipt and despatch service.

The bank worker will be required to perform the full range of duties outlined in this Job Description and will include evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work as necessary.

**The principal accountabilities of this post are**:
- To track, locate and retrieve case notes
- To initiate, retrieve and file case notes and prepare and provide case notes for Outpatient clinics/admission
- To input and extract data from the Health Board’s Welsh PAS System.
- To file documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- To provide a photocopying and reprographic service and scan paper documents into an electronic storage system.
- To provide a receipt and despatch service, managing incoming and outgoing records via a dedicated transport service.
