Our client is a global recycling and packaging manufacturing group, who pays it's customers to collect their waste It is at the forefront of the paper and cardboard recycling industry.
They require a Business Development Manager / Sales Manager for the Birmingham Tamworth area.
£40K - £45K base, 15% Bonus, Car, Pension, Medical etc. Can be home or office based, offering great prospects and conditions.
The Business Development Manager will manage and oversee all customer Commercial aspects of the recycling depot. Provide, manage & develop the commercial business plan to cover pricing, growth and development for both New Business Opportunities as well asAccount Management.
- Establish and develop relationships with existing accounts and new business prospects.
- Ensure the current customer base is maintained, with regular management.
- Assist and support the development of budget forecasting as well as working closely with all key internal departments; Logistics, Admin, Production & Operations.
- Source new supply opportunities from a variety of sectors including Retail, Commercial and Local Authorities.
- Manage and maximise the full business potential from existing Supplier base.
- Analysis and reporting of all supply lines in relation to profit, quality and compliance to company specifications.
- Experience in a new business sales and account management
- A commercial acumen and awareness
- Solution driven with the ability to frequently come up with new and innovative ideas
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Able to manage the process including generating leads, bidding for new work and developing innovative supply solutions
- Have excellent negotiation skills
- Passionate about recycling with an enthusiastic can do approach
- Hold an appropriate driving licence
- Proven track record in negotiating and ultimately securing new business on a regular basis
- Understand the customers’ business model and processes to identify new opportunities for the business and to add value to both the business and customer
- Provide reporting to ensure that all customer and competitor activities are monitored and developed in line with strategy
- Meet agreed targets for new business growth from selected customers
