The Dormant Distillery Company operate one of the worlds leading Whisky Specialist retailers and wholesalers, Royal Mile Whiskies. Founded in 1998, the company also run a specialist tobacconist on the Royal Mile The Cigar Box and in 2011 opened two specialist Drinks retail shops in Edinburgh and Pitlochry Drinkmonger with the vision to provide the most comprehensive range of quality alcohol products in Scotland.

**An opportunity has arisen to join Royal Mile Whiskies and Drinkmonger in our Fulfilment Team, based at our Loanhead warehouse. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to assist with Trade and Retail deliveries within a busy and fast-growing business. The position will cover the delivery of trade orders to customers throughout Scotland, but primarily in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, and Aberdeen. There will also be a requirement to assist with inter-business stock transfers and some home deliveries.**

**Job Requirements**
- A clean UK driving licence Please note that due to insurance limitations only applicants aged 21 and over, who have also held a driving licence for at least 12 months, will be considered for the role.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Effectively manage workload and availability.
- A basic knowledge of spirits, wines, and beers. Some knowledge of the Scottish or UK on-trade would be useful.
- Good communication skills an ability to effectively engage with our customers.
- The ability to remain calm and professional.
- Ability to plan routes effectively.
- Prior commercial driving experience would be preferred.

**Responsibilities**
- Safely operate the company vans in accordance with traffic laws and regulations
- Delivering parcels and stock in a safe and timely way to trade and retail customers along with transferring stock between our warehouse and retail shops. This will require loading and unloading cases of spirits, wines, and beers.
- Liaising with the Trade Logistics team to ensure efficient routing and planning for deliveries.
- Keeping company vans clean & tidy and performing daily safety and compliance checks.
- Assisting Fulfilment staff in picking and packing trade orders and ensuring accuracy with every delivery.

**Additional Info, Salary, and Benefits**

This is a permanent, full-time post. We are offering an hourly rate of £12.00. A Group Bonus Scheme exists based on trading performance.

Our operating hours are 9:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may be required. Flexible working is available.
