**Receptionist**
**Fixed term contract for 3 months covering maternity leave (There may be an opportunity to extend)**
Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours)
This role is permanently based in the Orbital office.
This role reports to the Finance Manager.
**Primary duties**
- Manage incoming calls via the switchboard; transfer calls accordingly, take messages etc.
- Meet and greet visitors: ensure signing in, offer refreshments, relay relevant H&S induction for their safety whilst on site etc.
- Coordinate the booking of meeting rooms.
- Arrange daily lunch orders and buffets when required for meetings.
- Distribute incoming post and frank all out-going post.
- Stationary control and ordering.
- General administration duties including producing purchase orders and order acknowledgments, typing, photocopying, filing etc.
- Maintain a tidy and presentable Reception area.
- Providing support to the Sales and Service team on customer quotations, invoicing, hotel bookings and expenses.
- Supporting the Finance Department as required.
- Supporting the Products Department as required.
**Secondary duties**
- Any other ad-hoc Admin-related duties within skillset.
**Essential skills**
- Excellent written / verbal communication and inter-personal skills.
- Conscientious approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work in an effective manner, both alone and as part of a team.
- PC literate and ability to use Microsoft Office packages.
**Desirable skills**
- Previous Reception or Administration-related experience.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Business Administration.
