About the Role- Maintenance Operative

We are looking for an experienced maintenance operative to work on all aspects of general maintenance in a busy hotel environment working within a multi skilled team.

We require a minimum of NVQ level 2 in a relevant discipline

Main Responsibilities:
Operations

Undertake all aspects of general maintenance tasks as required to ensure operational presentation and customer satisfaction.
Considers other departments requirements and provides guidance and support as appropriate.
Working on and maintaining nonelectrical building services, plant and equipment to the limit of safety and competence and work with other nonelectrical engineers to support this
Undertake when needed all aspects of compliance maintenance as required such as PAT, Legionella monitoring, emergency light testing and RCD testing
Carry out general maintenance if required to
Considers other departments requirements and provides guidance and support as appropriate.
Ensure maintenance work is within all relevant legislation, guidelines and code of practice and that all procedures are adhered to.
Infor worksheets are complete detailing exact nature of work carried out.
Carries out fault diagnosis as necessary within the limitations of own ability.

Development

Actively supports new approaches and innovative solutions for maintenance issues.

Promote a culture which encourages input and initiatives by completing appraisals and objectives.
Develop effective paths of two-way communication seeking ways of developing good service and delivery.
Promotes the company standards and values.
Consider your own training needs to enable you to keep at the forefront of modern technology and safety standards.
Ensure that maintenance is carried out within relevant legislation, guidelines and code of practice and that all procedures are adhered to.
