An external vacancy has arisen within the Laundry Service for a Laundry Operative to work across the Balby site.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the Facilities team to work in our on-site laundry as a laundry operative.

Reporting to the Laundry Supervisor, the post holder will contribute to the provision of an efficient laundry and linen service.

The post holder will operate laundry machinery, handle laundry chemicals, process soiled and clean linen items, all in line with the CFPP01-04-Decontamination of Linen for Health and Social Care.

Applicants must be able to work as part of a team in the main laundry to provide a laundry and linen service to healthcare clients and external customers and to be able to use their own initiative with minimum supervision.

A working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation is desirable. There may be a requirement to work out of normal working hours, however this post is predominantly based Monday to Friday and the hours of work will range from 7am through to 3pm.

When required, the post holder will drive a Trust vehicle to undertake the safe and efficient delivery and collection of items to and from customers.

Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
