Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team at Newhall Mains. As a Housekeeper/Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities to meet and exceed our guests' expectations.

**Responsibilities**:
Guest Room Cleaning: Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms following the established hotel standards. This includes making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and restocking amenities.

Bathroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, mirrors, and surfaces. Ensure that bathroom supplies, such as towels and toiletries, are adequately stocked.

Public Area Cleaning: Keep all public areas of the hotel clean and tidy, including the lobby, hallways, stairways, and common spaces. Regularly vacuum, dust, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a presentable appearance.

Laundry Duties: Collect and sort linens, towels, and guest laundry as required. Operate the hotel's laundry equipment and maintain laundry room cleanliness.

Trash Removal: Properly dispose of all waste and trash from guest rooms and public areas. Regularly empty trash containers to maintain cleanliness.

Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues in guest rooms or public areas to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.

Guest Services: Respond to guest requests or inquiries promptly and professionally. Assist with providing exceptional customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.

Adherence to Safety and Health Standards: Follow all safety and health guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for both staff and guests.

Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies and report when they need replenishment. Ensure the efficient use of cleaning materials and equipment.

Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel staff, including front desk personnel and maintenance teams, to coordinate guest needs and maintain a smooth operation.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects occasionally.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and handling cleaning equipment.
- Understanding and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays, if required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 2 months
Part-time hours: 16-45 per week

**Salary**: £10.90-£15.00 per hour
