Shackles Off Youth & Community Project have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding youth work team Shackles Off are looking for a new member of staff that has experience in youth work or working with young people.

**Our Aims**

Shackles Off Youth & Community Project aims to engage with children, young people, and families from the local and wider community to:

- Establish, maintain, and develop meaningful relationships
- Develop and increase opportunities and aspirations
- Provide an inclusive service, free from prejudice and discrimination
- Enable active community participation to shape our project

**Main Responsibilities**

Duties will include, but will not be limited to
- Deliver appropriate programmes/learning opportunities/activities for children and young people
- Develop external activities and opportunities for young people
- Organise activities, including excursions, trips, and residential visits
- to including risk assessments & consent forms
- Support children and young people to participate in provision/ sessions
- Motivate and support children and young people
- Identify the needs of children & young people to inform provision/ future session
- To listen to and engage children and young people in a positive, supportive, and challenging way
- To promote a ‘voice’ for young people
- Ensure monthly planning, session plans, session evaluations & monthly reports are completed
- Prepare resources, materials, and venue for sessions
- Undertake and complete relevant training provided
- Liaise with other organisations and stakeholders, signposting or referring young people where appropriate
- To complete all appropriate duties as requested by project manager
- To ensure all Shackles Off policies are adhered to and proper processes are followed, and actions taken
- Maintain accurate and secure records, ensuring adherence to GDPR

Pay: £12.89-£13.34 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
