Early Years Senco and Asw

Practitioners are directly responsible to the Room supervisor and Manager.
- They must be prepared to attend regular staff meetings.
- Support worker will be responsible for the care, safety and monitoring the development of 1 child with Autistic spectrum needs and a 3 yr old child with Down Syndrome. There will be support from the whole team to deliver expectations of learning. It may be a physically demanding role, but an extremely rewarding one as we help prepare children for their transition to school in September.
- It is the assistants’ duty to carry out any instructions by the supervisor, deputy or proprietor to assist in the day-to-day running of the pre-school group also.

**Duties - procedural**
- The assistant should be familiar with the policies and procedures of the setting.
- Contribute to planning activities, using their fascinations and interests to extend and elaborate on their learning.
- Make regular observations and reports on child’s development and progress via online app.
- Liaise regularly with child's parents, SENCO and other professionals involved.
- Be aware of and encourage inclusive practices within the setting
- Be aware of and keep up to date with statutory requirements including safeguarding and registration.
- Attend regular training updates as required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Contract, Permanent

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 26 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
