**Role: Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner - Permanent**
**Location: Bury**
**Pay: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum**
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established manufacturing business which operates as part of a larger group.
The company are a leading distributor chemical products and they are seeking a part-qualified Management Accountant to join the accounts team, reporting into the Finance Manager and working alongside the transactional team. Financial accounting and reportingfor the business are core to this role as well as variance and financial analysis, budgeting and providing financial recommendations to Management.
**Salary and Benefits**:
Salary £35,000 for £40,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, hybrid working (2 days from home), 34 hour week - 9-5 Mon-Thurs and 9-4 on Fridays (1 hour for lunch), on-site gym and parking.
**Responsibilities include**:

- Month-end P&L accounts for the business and reporting to group
- Preparing Management Accounts packs for budget holders including variance analysis
- Key role in the budget and forecasting processes
- Ensuring all inter-company balances are agreed
- Mentoring the Assistant Management Accountant
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Review, implement and maintain appropriate financial systems, internal controls and process
- Calculation of commissions on a quarterly basis, along with annual bonuses
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and make payment to HMRC
- Prepare monthly sales reports for the Directors
- Process yearly P11Ds
- Assisting with annual statutory accounts
- Deal with the auditors as required and preparing audit packs
- Adherence to group reporting deadlines

**Experience/skills required**:

- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within Manufacturing
- Part qualified CIMA / ACCA
- Thorough understanding of management accounts and month end procedures
- Proven ability of working under pressure and meeting deadline
- Excellent IT skills, especially Excel
- Experience in Navision desirable
- Good analytical skills and the ability to challenge when required
- High level of communication skills, attention to detail and a desire to learn
- Pro-active, flexible and adaptable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to deadlines
- Self-motivated and autonomous
