Night Porter

**MINIMUM HOURS**:40 Hours per week

Working 5 days out of 7

**RESPONSIBLE TO**: Night Manager

**Job Purpose**

To provide late night bar cover, function and night porterage and Reception support at the direction of the Night Manager.

**Main Responsibilities/Key Tasks**

Ø To be conversant and compliant with:

- All Front Office Systems of operation.
- All aspects of Bar Operations.
- Night Menu preparation and delivery both to rooms and bar area.

Ø To deal with customer queries efficiently and in a professional manner.

Ø To greet and carry out check in for all guests arriving during the course of your shift in a professional and proficient manner.

Ø To execute a guest departure in a professional and proficient manner

Ø To provide a security function for the hotel in line with Company Operating and Security procedures.

Ø To log all happenings and observations in the Duty Managers Book.

Ø To give efficient handovers to Duty Managers/Receptionist.

Ø To have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regard to the following company regulations:

- Fire regulations and night time evacuation procedures
- Health and safety regulations
- First aid procedures
- Licensing laws

Ø To be confident of procedures relating to Licensing Laws.

Ø To undertake general cleaning and maintenance duties

Ø To undertake special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine but within the overall scope of the position at the request of the Night Manager, Operations Manager or General Manager.
