Theatre and Mediroom Receptionist Band 2

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist within Theatre and Medirooms at North Bristol NHS Trust.

Receive patients, their relatives and other visitors into the theatres and medirooms suite and promote an efficient, courteous and responsive service.

Use relevant computer systems to ensure that all patients are correctly admitted, transferred and discharged.

Ensure that all patient information is accurately entered onto the hospital computer system.

Deal with the initial handing of incoming telephone calls and enquiries, ensuring that they are passed onto the appropriate person if necessary.

Liaise closely with medical secretaries and waiting list co-ordinators regarding hospital admissions and day case bookings.

Request and trace notes in an accurate and timely manner.

Prepare admission folders.

Print theatre schedules on a daily basis and distribute to theatres.

Undertake general office duties eg. filing, faxing, photocopying.

Act as central reporting and information point for maintenance and suppliers eg. reporting of photocopier repairs, building faults, etc.

Process incoming and outgoing mail and distribute accordingly.

Participate in the training of new reception staff.

Carry out any other duties as required that are commensurate with the grade and nature of the services.
