Yorkshire Cancer Research is entering an exciting period in its development. As part of this we are expanding our team at our Head Office and a number of new roles are being created. As such, we are now looking for a Digital Fundraising Officer to support our Brand & Relationships team.

**The Role**

As a Digital Fundraising Officer, you will work across our marketing and fundraising teams to support and drive forward digital fundraising opportunities. This may include donor acquisition, virtual fundraising campaigns and other digital fundraising activities.
Supporting the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Fundraising Officer helps achieve Yorkshire Cancer Research’s strategic aims by:

- Supporting our digital fundraising agenda, expanding digital opportunities to attract new supporters to our charity and deliver a rewarding online supporter experience.
- Helping to drive forward our charity’s supporter-facing digital capability, testing new ideas and implementing solutions to further the strategic aims of our charity.

Specifically, you will:

- Work across our marketing and fundraising teams to support and drive forward digital fundraising opportunities. This may include donor acquisition, virtual fundraising campaigns and other digital fundraising activities.
- Play a key role in the development and delivery of virtual fundraising events / challenges through our online fundraising platform. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the fundraising platform as well as growing this capability and helping the team to implement new campaigns.
- Help grow our Facebook fundraising presence by testing new ideas and concepts. Support the wider fundraising / marketing teams to develop and implement donor acquisition campaigns and evaluate / optimise these.
- Support the Digital Marketing Manager to help manage our charity’s website and implement updates / changes and to assist with other digital marketing needs (e.g. holiday cover for Digital Marketing Manager / Social Media Manager) as required.

**About You**

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline or proven experience working in a similar role at a similar level.
- An understanding of digital marketing within the charity sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of the workings of virtual events and challenges.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role at a similar level.
- Experience of working with supporters / customers / fundraisers and delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience leading or contributing to cross-team projects.
- Track record of implementing effective digital campaigns / projects.
- Experience of working with:

- content management systems
- social media platforms
- CRM databases
- The ability to analyse data, set up appropriate reporting and track progress vs KPIs.
- Excellent copy writing skills with an ability to write for different audiences, platforms, and purposes with good attention to detail.
