Vacancy Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Adult Social Care, working within the Reablement service. This is one of the key areas of work and will be a terrific opportunity for the right person. You will be part of the Night Warden team who provide cover for the Service during the hours of 20:30pm to 06:30am (including a 30 minute unpaid break) working 7 nights on, 7 nights off. You will visit Service Users in their homes and provide them with the “hands on” care they need at these times of day/night and provide a response service to the Out of Hours Duty Coordinator. This is a valuable service that helps to support individuals to remain living in their homes.

You must be committed to the role, be conscientious, discreet, hardworking and organised. A current driving license and access to a vehicle are required of the role and a good geographical knowledge of the West Berks Council area would be an advantage. The night warden team drives across the entirety of the West Berkshire County during each night in working pairs and are appropriately supported to ensure safety.
