**Hydraulic Fitter**

**Responsible to** Production manager **Department**: Production/Shop Floor **Job Level**:Location: Knowsley**

**Purpose of role**: Assembly of equipment for customers orders for the business, ensuring customers’ requirements are met & receive their goods within time promised, matching the business and customers' expectations.
**Key responsibilities**:
Build/Repair of hydraulic power packs, Cylinders, and valves assemblies, small pipe welding when needed.
Complete relevant paperwork - reports
Diagnose, fault find workshop/mechanical issues
Participate in all workshop activities small and large tasks.
To ensure that all activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all involved and to the protection of the environment and prevention of pollution
Ensure all testing, operations, processes, housekeeping, and daily checks are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures and relevant regulations
Managing any technical requirements through engineering
Ensure compliance and conformity are adhered too
Conscious of any health & safety requirements of the business and perform requested duties in line with the Company’s policy
Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/training/groups, to stay current within your role, looking to innovate always
Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the Flowtech Fluidpower group as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive, and beneficial relationships.

- Attendance Mechanical aptitude is essential; must be experienced and trained in the use
- Assembly Team - Engagement with others of relevant tools and equipment.
- Engineering Team - Attention to detail Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent “time served” experience is an
- Warehouse - Team player advantage.
- Purchasing team Able to demonstrate excellent engineering practice.
- **Core Competencies** Basic electrical knowledge required but not essential
- Taking personal responsibility to deliver Good communication skills (verbal and written)

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Prescot, L34 9HP: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)
