REED Education are working with a SEMH Primary Provision an exciting new HLTA position in the Wakefield area.
Starting after the half term, the school are looking for an outstanding HLTA on a long term, temporary basis. The school caters for young people all whom have social, emotional, and mental health issues, who require a personalised and therapeutic approach tolearning.
**Your Role**:
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the National Curriculum Framework and can adjust their register to meet the needs of each individual.
- Covering a range of lessons
- Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
- Providing feedback to Teachers, Senior Leaders, and external professionals
- You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, who struggle to access a mainstream learning environment.
**What you will need**:
- A range of behaviour management techniques
- To have worked with learners with a range of Social Emotional Needs.
- The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
- To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
- A resilient attitude
