**Role description**

We are recruiting a Security Delivery Officer to bring authoritative and heavyweight client-side experience of delivering security operations for critical national infrastructure organisations into our new Resilience Delivery Unit. Reporting to the Executive Director, Security & Resilience, the Security Delivery Officer will bring credible client-side experience of owning security risk working on behalf of the Board. The Security Delivery Officer will spearhead business development and delivery projects to drive better resilience outcomes for our clients.

To succeed in this role, you must:

- Demonstrate breadth of experience equivalent to 10 years in security operations leadership roles, having owned security risk at a significant level of complexity and scale
- Be passionate about reducing security risk and improving security performance, able to story tell security delivery from client-side experience in hybrid and cloud security, data privacy, identity, risk and audit topics in the context of ISMS KPIs and resilience outcomes
- Show a track record of using threat information and attack scenario modelling to run security operations in large organisations
- Demonstrate depth of experience in moving security operations from traditional, on-premises SOCs to next-generation tooling, cloud and hybrid security models
- Be able to evidence the results of transformed security operations and improved security outcomes at an appropriate level of sophistication
- Be effective leading large security programmes to deliver a step-change in resilience
- Possess certifications including CISSP, CISM, CISMP, SSCP, CISA or CompTIA Security+
- Experienced in the consumption of Microsoft security services
- Be knowledgeable of security technical standards together with wider approaches & frameworks including PCI-DSS, NIST, CAF, ISO/IEC 27001, MITRE etc.
- Willing and able to undergo security clearance
- Be ready to travel throughout the UK to work with clients on site

However, it would also be nice if you bring experience of:

- Running security operations in multi-vendor environments
- Having procured security services at scale and in complex programmes

Working in this role means that you will be asked to:

- Provide security delivery leadership support in the creation and growth of Alchemmy's Resilience Delivery Unit
- Work autonomously, and as part of multi-disciplinary teams, to drive resilience outcomes for our clients
- Bring practical experience of leading security incidents at an appropriate degree of business impact
- Author content for proposals, presentations and papers to provide Alchemmy with practical experience of implementing security transformation projects
- Advise clients on the maturity assessment of systems and processes to increase security value from tooling including, but not limited to, zero trust, SIEM, SOAR, extended detection & response services, behavioural analytics, SOC automation & tooling simplification, cloud-based security controls and DevSecOps
- Run technical workshops and associated deliverables, helping stakeholders understand implications & actions to take
- Enjoy staying current with new technologies, threats and feedback from the market
- Spend time with Alchemmy partners to track latest products, contribute to roadmaps and wider Industry thought leadership
- Inject pragmatism into conversations to maximise our client's security ROI
