**Main Duties**
- Set up and complete tool changes and first off samples documenting this task.
- Ensure quality checks are carried out hourly. Report any matters that could affect production or health and safety to the Moulding Manager_._
- Train staff in tool changing, health and safety and quality spot checks.
- Assist in setting, start-up and running of extrusion line.
- Assess any machine or equipment break down and advise the Moulding Manager of any problems.
- Conduct monthly maintenance checks advising the Moulding Manager of any problems.
- Ensure all plant and equipment is kept in good working order and the work areas kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure pipe/pipe fittings are ground up daily.
- Ensure all staff are wearing PPE when required_._
- Upload production figures and daily inspection log to production folder.
- In the Moulding Manager’s absence, supervise the activities of personnel within the dept ensuring they are manufacturing goods in accordance with the works orders and authorised drawings to a high standard.
- To organise the day-to-day workload and allocate tasks to team members, particularly export or customer orders. Any workload issues to be referred to the Moulding Manager.
- Liaise daily with Moulding Manager to discuss any issues within the department.
- Assist with the inspection of incoming materials as per the Goods Inwards Inspection Manual completing inspection forms where necessary. Any issues or defects must be reported to the Moulding Manager.
- Monitor raw material stock informing the Moulding Manager of any irregularities or shortages. In the Moulding Manager’s absence, refer these to the Production Buyer and Production Manager.
- Report as finished all orders using AX.
- Work with the production department setting due dates or lead times.
- Promptly inspect all returns and send a report to the Moulding Manger.
- Assist Stock Controller with any cycle/stock counts_._
- Open and secure the building at the end of the working day.
- To enforce company rules and safety policy as laid out within the Company Handbook, ensuring all personnel fully understand these rules. Any matters that could directly affect health and safety or breach company rules must be reported to the Moulding Manager.

**Qualification’s Skills and Experience**
- Must have experience within manufacturing and injection moulding.
- Must have an engineering qualification or working experience.
- Able to supervise a team.
- Excellent communications skills
- Computer literate

**Working Hours and Benefits**
- Mondays to Thursdays
- 44.5 hours per week
- 06.00 to 18.00, must be flexible.
