We are a busy, family-run business looking for a new recruit to become part of our friendly team. Situated on the Kingsnorth Industrial Estate, Ashford, we operate from our 30,000 sqft of modern equipped factory premises with more than 40 full-time members of staff.

We aim to pick and load the majority of vehicles on the day prior to dispatch with a separate warehousing shift. This is when loads and routes are pre-arranged. However, there is inevitably always a degree of checking and loading at the start of each shift which is done as a team before vehicles leave site to meet customers. Occasionally vehicles will leave site and return for a second loading/dispatch throughout the day when time and loadings suit.

As a company we aim to uphold the highest standards in road safety. Drivers will be expected to be compliant with all aspects of HGV driving at all times. We maintain driver CPC training as a matter of course along with driver management and mentoring.

**What you'll do in a typical week**:

- Multidrop deliveries between customer sites, making collections when required.
- Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
- Complete daily checks and report any defects.
- Add, and record fluids added.
- Drop vehicles into and out of service
- Present Digi-card to transport manager for analysis
- Safe delivery and handover of goods to customers
- As and when required load and unload vehicles as part of a team ensuring loads are correctly secured at all times
- Delivering a range of bespoke made glass products to the trade.

**What you need to apply**:

- A full UK driving licence (with C1entitlement)
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
- 6+ months HGV driving experience.
- Multidrop delivery experience.
- Good knowledge of the South East road network.
- A positive can-do attitude.

Previous experience with handling glass is a strong advantage, but not essential.

**We are currently looking for a full-time driver however for the right applicant we are always happy to consider part-time positions.**
